In 1947 Morris Lieberman, and his son, Bert, opened Morris Furniture Mart in a small store at 444 East Fifth St., near downtown Dayton, Ohio. The philosophy was to offer every customer furniture and appliances at the most affordable price and to provide service that would insure that they would return to Morris.
